Honey, I will always love you and you will be in my heart always. You were the best thing that ever happen to me. You lived your dream and what a dream. What a great life we had. Thank you, your loving wife.
Dad,
Thank you for being my dad, you will live forever in our hearts and minds. I love you.
We will miss Ed and his quirky sense of humor. Enjoyed the times we were able to sail together and sight-see while traveling. Ed always had a joke to tell and could be counted on for lots of laughs. He was one of the most generous people we have known and would share anything he had. With the possible exception of his ice cream!!
Rest in peace, Ed, and thank you for your service to our country.
Marti and Gene
Carol,

You were the best father-in-law ever.I will miss you, but never stop loving you!!
I was saddened to learn about the passing of my grandfather today. I can remember as a young boy the joy of watching the air show with Ed from the deck of his boat on Lake Michigan. Almost forty years ago and I can remember it like it was yesterday. There are so many questions I wanted to ask, so much I could have learned. One of my greatest regrets in life is not getting to know you better.
My deepest condolences to those family members that had the honor and privilege to being part of your life. Rest in peace grandpa.
Prayers for Carol and family on you loss of a husband, father and grand father. May memories of happier times and faith carry you through the difficult days. Peace be with you.
Thanks for being such a wonderful, loving husband to my sister. We know you were her best friend. We did share many good times and we’re glad we got to see you at Easter. From one veteran to another thanks for your service. Rest in peace. Love, Bob & Judy
Ed was my buddy. His warm smile and sense of humor put all fears at ease.
He was a proud man, truly an officer and a gentleman.
I learned of your passing on Facebook of all places. Even tho it was decided to not include me as far as telling me you had passed or the funeral arrangements that were made, it has in no way diminished the love that I had for you. You were my husbands father… and you finally got back together after many years. I am thankful that you both had that time together. Now you both are together, along with Lorraine, and hopefully having a great reunion up there. In any case dad … I loved and respected you, and will miss you much. Love you dad ….XOXO
Ed was a good man and a lucky man / He had a good life and a exciting life filled with adventure

Ed was a gentle soul who newer complained.
May he rest in peace.
Met this unique couple, as neighbors, over 20 years ago.
We became friends immediately – & so enjoyed hearing about their adventures – never a boring moment!
Added to that – Ed with his dry sense of humor kept the party going !
A True Navy Guy who loved his rum & coke! Think Carol can relate!
Why not enjoy – gave him so much pleasure – & kept him going however he felt
We feel honored to have been a small part of his life
We pray al those good memories will give his loving wife,Carol, some solace
Ed, also known as Eduardo in Spanish, lived a full and exciting life. As the priest said at his service today, there are takers and givers in life. Ed was a giver from his service to our country in the U.S. Navy to being a friend to all who knew him. I have no doubt Ed is in heaven smiling down on us. It was nice to celebrate his life and not mourn his passing. Fair winds Eduardo, until we meet again.
Carol,
Just discovered this site and wanted to leave a condolence message for you on Ed’s passing. It was through Marti and Gene that I got the chance to meet you both when I visited them on their boat and condo in St. Pete. Such a wonderful lifestyle and one filled with many adventures and good times. I last saw you and Ed when you visited Marti and Gene here on the east coast of Fla. several years ago and had breakfast at the Downwind restaurant at Spruce Creek. A lovely time and that’s how I’ll remember you both…as generous and giving people. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Ed….RIP.

Ed, I am your Brit buddy who used to visit St Pete every year, and sit with you by the pool, enjoying a Warschteiner and tales of our military service, you in the US Navy and I in the British Army. It was an honor and a privilege to have the friendship of both you and your dear wife Carol, and I treasure the memories of you and of those happy days.

Eddie and I had the opportunity to reminisce during our last visit. I will always treasure his friendship during our years on the boats. Ed was a kind and humorous gentleman who thoroughly enjoyed life and especially his life shared with you, Carol. God bless you as you go through this next phase of your life.
Eddie was a great gentleman who shared a wonderful life with Carol his beautiful partner. I enjoyed his tales of life on your yacht in Venezuela when you sailed down there for a few years. He was so witty with a great sense of humor that persisted practically to the end of his life. Thoughtful and generous, I am grateful to have known both him and you. God bless you.
Carol,
I’m so sorry for your loss. I always thought of Ed as my buddy. I will miss his sense of humor. He had a great life and a great wife!
