Arthur E. Phillips was born on February 5, 1945 to Arthur and Helen (Van Shellenberg) Phillips in Berkeley, California. He passed away on July 7, 2017 at his residence in St. Petersburg. He is survived by his son Peter (Kathleen) Kent of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Military
Arthur joined the United States Navy on February 25, 1964 and was honorably discharged on December 15, 1967 at the rank of Petty Officer 3rd class. At the time of his discharge he Petty Officer Phillips was elibigle to wear the National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, three Vietnam Service Medals, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device on his uniform. Arthur was an Aviation Machinist Mate with Attach Squadron 195 as his last duty station.
