Luis Antonio Zayas, 72, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed on September 4, 2017, at his home. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He served his country in the United States Army.
Following his time in the service, he worked many jobs. These included putting up billboards, factories, department stores, at the Disney Yacht and Beach Club and at an apartment complex doing maintenance work.
A caring, loving and amazing husband, father and grandfather, he cared deeply for his family and loved being surrounded by them. He was always smiling and in good spirits and was a warm-hearted, compassionate, humble man. Everyone enjoyed spending time with Luis. He brought joy to all who knew him. He had hope in the Bible verse, Job 14:15, “You will call and I will answer you”. He had the hope that in the near future he’ll be resurrected here in paradise earth where he will live with all of his loved ones.
His wife, Sulema, was his sole caregiver and she was holding his hand at the time he took his last breath. Also there was his mother-in-law who he called her by “Rosita mi nina”. She had traveled from Philadelphia to be with him at this time.
