homas “Tom” Brown was born on August 18, 1941 in Mattoon, Illinois to Roy and Marjorie (Harmon) Brown. He passed away on September 20, 2017 at Sabal Palms in Largo, Florida at the age of 76.
Family
Tom is survived by his wife Sandra, “Sandy”, of 43 years. They were married on May 18, 1974. Additionally Tom is survived by sisters Sally (Gale) Vander Meade of Brooksville, Florida, Janet (Gene) Touchton of Live Oak, Florida; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Military
Tom served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and received his honorable discharge in 1964 at the rank of Airman Second Class. He was eligible to wear the United States Air Force Good Conduct Medal on his uniform.
Services
A church service with military honors at First Lutheran Church located at 1644 Nursery Rd Clearwater, Florida 33756 is scheduled for Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:30 am with a public visitation beginning at 9:30 am. Pastor Philip Rigdon will be officiating the ceremony and the United States Air Force will provide military honors. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm at Sarasota National Cemetery following the reception at the church.
