inda Miller Huntington was born on January 7, 1949 to Robert and Audrey (Padgett) Bowers in Fort Pierce, Florida. She passed away on October 15, 2017 at Somerset Assisted Living Facility at the age of 68. Linda was an Army nurse.
Family
Linda is preceded in death by her father George Edward Seargeant, a WWII Army veteran and mother Audrey Seargeant, who raised her. Additionally she is survived by her daughters Michelle Chance, Brandy (Omar) Contreras, Amanda Nissen; brother George Patrick Seargeant, I; sister Debbie Tart; and grandchildren Omar Contreras, Jr. and Chance Rylan Huntington.
Military
Linda joined the United States Army on July 17, 1967 and served during the Vietnam time period as a Nurse. She was honorably discharged on July 16, 1970 at the rank of Sergeant. At the time of her discharge she was entitled to wear the National Defense Service Medal on her uniform.
Services
A church funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:30 am at LakeHaven Church in Eustis, Florida with a visitation beginning at 10:30 am. A graveside service with military honors provided by the United States Army is scheduled for 2:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery. The Patriot Guard Riders of Florida have been invited as honored guests by the family.
