im Sindlinger was born on December 7, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He passed on October 28, 2017. He graduated from Langley High School and was immediately inducted in the Army in 1943. While going to school he worked in his fathers hauling business.
Military
He served in the African and European theaters in World War II. He was wounded in Italy in Sept of 1944 and was honorably discharged in November of 1945. At the time of his honorable discharge Jim was eligible to wear the Purple Heart Medal, World War II Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal on his uniform.
Life
After the war he went to work for his Dad and married Helen in March of 1946 then worked for Pittsburgh Motor Coach, US Steel and Greentree Dairy. They then moved to Florida in 1964. He then worked for Hoode Dairy then UPS finally retiring from UPS in 1991. Jim served in the Mens ministry and was an usher at Suncoast Cathedral Assembly.
Family
He has been married to Helen for 71 years and they have two children Karen and Jim; four granddaughters and four great-children.
Services
A church funeral is scheduled for Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at Suncoast Cathedral Assembly in St. Petersburg, Florida. Afterwards a graveside service with military honors presented by the United States Army is scheduled for 12:00 pm at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto, Florida.

Jim was a member of our church for several years. He was faithful & always a dedicated worker who served with distinction. He loved his Lord & his family. We have great memories & he was loved by everyone.
