incoln Edward Cook was born on March 9, 1930 to George and Jane (Lawless) Cook in Franklin, Massachusetts. He passed away on November 19, 2017 at the age of 87.
Family
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Yoko (Kobayashi) Cook; children Jane (Hal) Newsome, Gladys Workman, George (Melissa) Cook, Brenda (Jim) Scobee; brother Richard C. (Carol) Cook; grandchildren Amber Newton, John Newsome, Danielle Workman and one great-grandchild Jadyn Ragano.
Military
Chief Cook joined the Air Force on November 11, 1948 and after 22 years retired on March 31, 1971 at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt). His work centered around the organization and maintenance of heavy weapons and bombs.
Services
A graveside service with military honors provided by the United States Air Force is scheduled for Friday, December 15, 2017 at 1:00 pm. All guests planning on attending should arrive by 12:40 pm. Pastor Danny Richwine from Sumterville Assembly of God will be presiding over the service.
Special Acknowledgements
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Operation Toy Soldier which provided toys during Christmas for children of deployed soldiers. Contributions can be made in his memory to “Operation Toy Soldier” PO Box 4122, Bay Pines, FL 33744
