William Lloyd Jones, Jr., 87, of Clearwater, FL, passed away on December 10, 2017, at the North Pinellas Care Center, Brookside Hospice, in Palm Harbor, FL. He was born in Philadelphia, PA.
Bill faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was active during the Korean War. Following his service, he became a mason and worked in the construction industry for many years.
Bill was an amazing man that loved the Lord, his family, his country and nature. He had many interests in his life including amateur and professional boxing and driving a race car. Bill also found time to coach Little League and loved college football.
He enjoyed fishing, being outside and traveling to national, as well as, local parks and experiencing all of nature. He loved to bring the images home if his memories and paint the scenes. He also loved old movie and was a great history and geography buff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Jones. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, Bill (Jessica); daughter, Kathleen; brother, Donald (Coeli, Heidi); grandchildren, Tara (John), Kyle (Stephanie), Kristyn (Kyle), Kevin (Noel), Shannon; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Noah, Kaiden, Cora, Callie, Andrea, Luke; and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Our Savior Lutheran Church. The church is located at 4825 East Bay Drive, Largo, FL 33764.
