Kenny, We were friends for over 35 years and there’s a big empty hole in my heart for the loss of our friendship. You are sorely missed by me.
Had the pleasure of being Ken and Janet’s neighbor for 11 years. Very appreciative of the advice and support he gave me while serving on the board of Gateway By The Bay…and having the honor of him sharing many stories from his past.
As an amateur historian for the Seventh Bomb Group, I am heartily sorry for not having made Mr. Husted’s acquaintance. For the past 7 years I have been compiling a database of names of men who served with the Seventh, and Mr. Husted is among over 6000 of them. I’m very sorry to learn that he has passed.
I have a personal website which honors the service of my grandfather, a fellow 7th BG veteran, and the men who served in the CBI Theater along with Mr. Husted. Accordingly, I would love to learn more about the service of this American Hero, and would love to hear from anyone who may be able to share such info.
Thank you, Mr. Husted for your service to our country. My condolences to his family and friends.
Best regards,
Michael Hernandez
