Ofelia DeMarco, 93, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on March 18, 2018 at the Gulfside Center for Hospice Care in Zephyrhills, Florida. She was born in Tampa and she is part of the very rich culture of the area.
She was known as somebody who deeply loved her family and always loved being with them and took great care of them. She was also always close to her twin sister Thelma. Ofelia liked good food and was very fond of crocheting. She was known as someone who told funny jokes and always had a good story.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Ysuara Planez; her husband, Christopher; her brother, Antonio Planez; and her sons Daniel and Christopher. She is survived by her son Jerry DeMarco of Tampa; sister, Thelma Nendez of Tampa; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Incarnation Catholic Church which is located at 5124 Gateway Drive, Tampa, Florida. She will be interred at Florida National Cemetery.
