Benjamin Eugene Cummings III, of St. Petersburg, Florida, was born on April7, 1969 and passed away on July 23, 2018, in Clearwater, Florida. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia and graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1987. He was an excellent student.
After graduating, he went into the military, joining the United States Navy. Ben was fascinated with engineering and nuclear energy and worked on the USS Asheville. After completing his six years of military service, he left with an Honorable discharge. Ben continued as an electric engineer building and working on high-end motor coaches.
Ben lived his entire life with a sense of purpose, was a great son and an outstanding brother to his younger sister, Christi. On a more personal note, when not working Ben liked to have fun spending time with family and friends. He was very dependable and you could always count on Ben to provide an enjoyable get together. He loved being the “Grill Master”.
He is survived by his father, Benjamin Eugene Cummings, Jr.; mother, Deborah Mae Cummings; paternal grandmother, Sheila Cummings; sister, Cristi Curd and her husband, Richard Curd; nephews, Erik, Aaron, Justin and Brandon Curd; and many friends.
On Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 11:30AM, a time of gathering will be held at Veterans Funeral Care located at 15381 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, Florida, 33760. A Memorial Service will be follow at Noon.

The RV World will suffer a loss with the passing of Ben. Many people benefited as a result of his expanded area of expertise. From his co workers to the retail public, everyone liked Ben. Karen and I give our condolences to his family and fellow staff members. Although Ben is gone, his legacy will live on.
