Marilyn Weiss 88 of Deland FL was called back to heaven on November-11-2018 at the Villa Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on 08/23/1930 in Hartford , CT to Samuel and Sarah Shafer and was known to her family as Mimi. Marilyn was preceded in death By her son Seth and survived by her son David, daughter-in-laws Tina and Carole, and her grandchildren Erica and Danny.
Marilyn resided in Florida in several locations since the mid seventies and was a former resident of Connecticut. She was a LPN for may years where she cared for may people through difficult times in their life.
Marilyn was a very generous person who would always care , assist or comfort to any who needed it . In her spare time she enjoyed doing crafts and giving them to her many friends and family members as a gift .
At this time the family will be holding a private ceremony and asked that their wishes be respected. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made Autism Speaks to help advance research and treatment of autism. Please go to http://www.autismspeaks.org
