Eric is originally from Fishkill, New York. He came to the Tampa Bay area in 1993 when his father retired from IBM. He graduated from East Lake High in Tarpon Springs and joined the Army, finishing a six year career as an Administrative and Personnel Records Specialist at Headquarters 53rdInfantry Brigade (FLARNG) in Tampa. He worked very hard and later graduated from St. Petersburg College with his associates degree in Funeral Services.
He is a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer and a Licensed Insurance Agent including life, health, annuity and legal expense, as well as an ICCFA Certified Cremation Arranger.
Eric is a veteran who comes from a family of veterans. Eric’s grandfather, Joseph E. Cahill, was Army Air Corps during WWII. His father, Dennis M. Cahill, enlisted in the US Army in 1967, attended basic training at Fort Dix, NJ followed by Military Police (MP) training at Fort Polk, LA. He proudly served for four years, mostly in Germany, as an MP at several US bases in Europe.
When he’s not at the funeral home you’ll find him attending professional development seminars, cooking, trying out recipes seen on TV, visiting local breweries and learning about local history.
