Lorraine Cecile Rowe, 85 of Dunedin, FL passed away January 1, 2019 in the loving care of family and Sun Coast Hospice.
She is predeceased by her father and mother, Hollis and Albertine Taylor, of Manchester, NH. Her sister Marie Watkins, of Charles City, VA her husband, Warren Rowe of Achilles, VA her step-son, Dennis Rowe of Williamsburg, VA.
Lorraine is survived by her Son, Joseph Paul Rowe and Wife, Janette Rowe of Tarpon Springs, FL her Son, David Hollis Rowe and Wife, Caren Rowe and grandchildren, Dylan, Brian, Caitlin, and Austin, of Gainesville, FL, Step-grandchildren, Matthew Taylor and Rebecca Vanbuskirk of Holiday, FL. Sister – in- laws Evelyn Hudgins and Etheleen Banfiel and many nieces and nephews in Virginia.
Lorraine earned an RN nursing degree in 1954. She trained at Boston City Hospital, Massachusetts. She then joined the Air Force serving 5 years as a Lieutenant mostly overseas in Germany. After her military service, she continued work as RN with government facilities. In 1991 she finally retired after 31 years with Bay Pines Veterans Hospital, St. Petersburg, FL as Supervisor RN.
Lorraine will be cremated at Veterans Funeral Care in Clearwater, Fl. Her remains will be interned with her Husband, Warren Rowe at Achilles Friends Church Cemetary in Achilles, VA..
