Peter John McFadden, 68, born in Media, PA and having lived several years in Charlotte, NC before moving to St. Petersburg, passed away on January 18, 2019 at the Bay Pines VA Hospital following a battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Maureen McFadden; a sister, Katherine Johnson of Malvern, PA; a brother, Michael McFadden of Drexel Hill, PA; an aunt, Dee Dee Youcher of Janesville, WI; and many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Pete was an amazing guy, and I feel privileged to have known him. Working with Pete five days a week, for the last year and I half-I must share with you that nobody could tell a story like Pete. Whether it was a smartly sarcastic way of talking about work issue or just a funny story of his past. My face hurt a good part of the day after from laughing so much. I’ll always cherish those memories of the interesting stories he shared with me.

Pete will be remembered by the Karamalakos family as a very special person. He was a pleasure to be around; a true gentleman and a kind soul. We always saw him together with Maureen, and seeing them both at the same time will be dearly missed. We have fond memories of exchanges between the McFaddens and our family, those will never be forgotten. Pete: you are in our hearts and our thoughts, and although you are no longer physically here with us, we will relive the memories that you have forever left ingrained. Pete is an unforgettable character. In reading the comments left by his other friends and coworkers I realize we all got the same feelings about him. He gave us his friendship freely and made us laugh. He was generous with his knowledge
of horse racing, dog racing, baseball. You name it he knew it. He was a fine person and I will also, along with my husband keep him in our hearts and memory. We love you Maureen.

I worked with Pete for 15 years and will miss talking horse racing with him. Pete had the most widespread knowledge about anything and everything out of any one person I have ever met. He always loved hearing about my kids (Brady and Owen) and all the shenanigans they were into. Pete also never missed a birthday present for them.
He will be greatly missed.

I was one of Pete’s customers in NY. He could certainly get a good belly chuckle going in me and leave me smiling with the funny emails he would send in response to one of our thousand requests! He was so well loved and appreciated by all of us here that had the pleasure of working with him! Even though we never met him in person, we felt he was a friend! Deepest condolences to you all!
