Terry Allan Tombesi passed away on April 26, 2019 in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Terry was born on January 21, 1947 in York, Pennsylvania to Louis and Delores Tombesi. He joined the US Navy in 1966 and served aboard the USS Alfred Cunningham (DD 752) as a Postal Clerk. He had 18 months of overseas duty. After serving three tours in Vietnam, he was honorably discharged in 1970.
His later career was spent in a variety of different business related outlets. He was a TV Reporter / Radio Host for WGAL in Harrisburg, PA. He was a previous owner of the Dover Newsstand in Dover, Delaware, a Talent Agent and Rock and Roll band manager and Business Manager of various companies over the years.
Terry married Janice Kraisinger in 1991. Their first daughter, Katherine, was born in 1992 and their second daughter, Allyson, was born in 1994. Terry enjoyed traveling; especially to historical places, going to Disney World, watching the Tampa Bay Rays, gardening, fishing and cooking. Most of all, Terry enjoyed his time with family. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren to theme parks and the beach.
He was predeceased by both his parents; Louis and Delores Tombesi. He is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters Katherine and Allyson; step-son Scott Keefer (Veronica) of Apple Valley, MN; daughter Gina Baumgartner (Jason) of Magnolia, DE; and grandchildren Benjamin, Eleanor, Jordan, Corbin and Jasper.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4661 82nd Ave N, Pinellas Park, Florida. The family will receive friends from 10-10:30 A.M. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. Military rites will be rendered.
