Ralph Edward Cascarella of New Port Richey, FL entered peacefully into eternal rest on June 9th, 2019 with family by his side. He was 89.
Born in Floral Park, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Richeter) Cascarella.
After finishing high school in New York, Ralph enlisted in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge and staying true to his commitment to serve he became a police officer. Working his way up through the ranks, he retired as a Detective from the Nassau County Police Department. Ralph is still a member of the Detectives Association of Police Department of Nassau County and The Retired Police Association of the State of New York.
On Saturday the 12th of October 1991 in Leavittown, NY he married Diana Cutugno. They spent 28 years together and she will always miss him.
Ralph leaves behind his loving wife Diana Cascarella; children Ralph Edward Cascarella, Jr., Mark Richard Cascarella, Steven Michael Cascarella, Stanley John Holewinski, Donna Marie Marousis, and Scott Joseph Holewinski. Surviving family members also include grandchildren Michael Cascarella, Nicholas Cascarella, Stephanie Cascarella, Daniel Cascarella, Angelica Marousis, Scott Holewinski, Jr., Sean Holewinski, Brandon Holewinski, Mercedes McBrown, Autumn McBrown, Trinity McBrown.
He was preceded in death by wife Magdalen Cascarella, brother William Cascarella and grandson Steven Cascarella, Jr.
I was so sorry to hear about Ralph’s death. WE worked as partners for a time in BSO.He will be remembered as a great guy with a great sense of humor.A very loyal partner who could always be counter on when things got rough.
