Fred Maroney, 82, of Pinellas Park passed away on July 23, 2019, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and later proudly served in the U.S. Air Force leaving as Airman First Class.
He worked at Derby Lane and retired after more than 30 years working as an engineer at General Electric. In retirement, Fred spent his days enjoying the company of his wife, dogs and family. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, finding things to fix around the house and helping his neighbors.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche. He is survived by his sons, Allen and Scott, Scott’s wife, Stacey and their sons, Matthew and Eric.
On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, there will be a public visitation at Veterans Funeral Care, 15381 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, Florida 33760. At 1:30PM, on the same day, a Military Honors Service has been scheduled for Florida National Cemetery located at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida 33513. Following the service, he will be buried by his wife Blanche.
Amy and I are saddened by your family’s loss. We wish you peace and comfort during such hard times. It’s been our privilege to share a few great times with your family and we look forward to many more.
