After a brief illness under the care of friends and hospice, Jack Taylor earned his wings to fly with the angels on October 5th. He served his country proudly in the US Marine Corps and received his honorable discharge as a corporal.
Jack lived an exciting life filled with travel and hobbies. Prior to retirement, he worked as a computer programmer. Eventually, Jack settled down in St. Petersburg with lots of friends all around him. Jack enjoyed riding his bike and especially back in the day, was quite a tennis player and instructor at one time. He also, more recently, became fond of the stock market as a hobby. Anyone who knew Jack knew he was quite a social man and had a heart of gold, always looking out for his friends.
In the end, Jack was cared for with the respect and dignity he deserved and he will not be forgotten. He will be dearly missed by his best friend, Steven, and caretaker, Annette. His legacy and heart will live on in all that knew this kind and generous man. A celebration of Jack’s life will be at Bay Pines National Cemetery on November 1st at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow.
Blessings and prayers for my dear old friend jackie.
I love you and pray you are able to fly high with the angels.
