Orlando  Rivera Acevedo, 73, originally of Caguas, Puerto Rico passed away on December 30, 2019 in Tampa, Florida.  He was born on November 28, 1946, to Florencio Rivera Rodriguez & Cruz Acevedo Hernandez.  He was a husband, father and grandfather who leaves behind three sons; Oscar Orlando Rivera, Harry Joel Rivera and Orlando Gabriel Rivera.  He loved his eight grandchildren Anneishley, Lorean, Daniel, Nicole, Alec, Orlando, Gabriel and Adrian. Orlando will also be dearly missed by his sister, Vivian Rivera Acevedo, along with his entire family and many friends.  He was very proud of his service in the U.S. Army and always shared his anecdotes of his time while stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War.  

We welcome all friends and family to accompany us as we say our final farewell to Orlando at Florida National Cemetery, in Bushnell, FL where he will be laid to rest on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 11:30am.  Military honors performed by the United States Army and American Legion Post 155.   

Orlando Rivera Acevedo de 73 años, natural de Caguas, Puerto Rico falleció el 30 de diciembre de 2019. Nació el 28 de noviembre de 1946, hijo de Florencio Rivera Rodríguez y Crucita Acevedo Hernández. Fue esposo, padre y abuelo. Le sobrevive sus tres hijos Oscar Orlando Rivera, Harry Joel Rivera y Orlando Gabriel Rivera. Amaba a sus ocho nietos Anneishley, Lorean, Daniel, Nicole, Alec, Orlando, Gabriel y Adrián. También será muy extrañado por su hermana, Vivian Rivera Acevedo, junto su familia y amistades.  Estaba muy orgulloso de su servicio en el U.S. Army y siempre compartió sus anécdotas de su tiempo mientras estaba estacionado en Corea durante la Guerra de Vietnam. 

Todo aquel que desee acompañarnos en este momento, sus restos descansarán en el Cementerio Nacional de Florida en Bushnell, FL. El lunes, 6 de enero de 2020 a las 11:30 am.
