With our deepest sorrow, we are sad to say that Charles Allen Morgan “CHARLEY”, age 48, our most beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to so many, went home to his savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 16, 2020. Those who knew him even just a little, lost a shining light in their life.
Charley was born on September 9, 1971 in Morgantown, West Virginia to David and Nancy Morgan.
He grew up in Clearwater and was a 1989 graduate of Countryside High School, the real CHS, where he played basketball and baseball, and forged lifelong friendships. His teammates always considered him the “go-to” man during a game…and they were right. His love for baseball continued as he attended Andrew College, Maryville College, and graduated with a Bachelors degree of Applied Science and a Minor in Sociology from the University of West Florida. Charley returned to Clearwater after college where he began his career with Baycare. He dedicated 20 plus years to Baycare and became a highly recognized and respected Supply Chain/Distribution Manager.
Charley and Traci’s children: Kaci Michele 14 yrs, Hank Charles 12 yrs, and Harley Christine 7 yrs. were his greatest gifts in his life, he loved watching his oldest daughter Kaci do her aerials and was blown away by all of her incredible dance stretches and her flexibility , he spent most weekends watching his son Hank playball and loved how Hank was following the same passion with his love for baseball, and his little Harley Girl as she continues her way giggling into an incredible dancer like her big sister and has that little FIRECRACKER personality.
Besides his love for his kids and his family, he also loved his friends, He was a friend to everyone he met. Through his battle with Multiple Myeloma, we know that Charley wanted to fight with all that he had.
His family will miss him so very much. Our hearts are heavy, but we are thankful he is resting without any pain and in peace.
Matthew 11:28 Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.
He leaves behind a family who adored him and loved him with all of their hearts. Traci and His children, Parents David and Nancy Morgan, sister Christy and Brother in Law Jamie Burris, sister Andrea and Brother in Law Billy Holladay, mother-in-law Mickey Miller, father-in-law Bruce Miller and Ann Miller. 8 nieces and nephews and one great niece.
We will celebrate his life with family and friends and cherish our memories with him forever.
