He is survived by his wife Brenda K. Grubbs, sons James Scott (Lisa) of Spring City, TN., Shane Grubbs of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Darwin Grubbs (Joanna) of Navarre, Fl. Daughter Courtney Smith (Tony) of Portland, TN. Grandchildren Brennan Grubbs of Dunedin, Fl., Chezleigh Smith of Scottsville, KY., Jeffery Scott(Mckensey) Knoxville, Tn., Whitley Scott , Knoxville, Tn. Katelyn Grubbs Gallatin, Tn., Coltin Grubbs, Navarre, FL. Four great grandchildren. Aunt Lenora Worthington of Center Star, AL. Niece Anita Gargis (John) of Rogersville, Al. Alfred also had a half sister Debra Rasmussen of Central Point, Or. Half brothers Charles White and Guy White of Virginia.
Mr. Grubbs retired from Tennessee Valley Authority in August 2004, after thirty-seven and one half years. He started out in Alabama as an apprentice mechanic, when he retired he was a manager with heavy equipment, and negotiated sales. He and his wife Brenda traveled for several years, in their motor home, over several states before settling down in their home in Dunedin, FL.
Condolences to the family. I met Frank when I worked for Director Hayes @ TVA. He was always such a kind man, and I know the Director depended on him greatly.
