Ray Hennebry, 90, of Largo Florida passed away on January 5, 2021 at the Mid Pinellas Hospice Center, Pinellas Park, Florida with his loving family at his bedside. On November 12, 1960, he married Nancy (nee Kropp) in Chicago, IL. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years, and his three daughters: Deena (Robert), Kristine (Michael), and Vicki (Khaled), grandchildren Justin, Said, Zaki, Aicha, Michael, Jacob, Abby, Emma and Meriem, and great-grandchildren Hazel and Mila.
Ray is preceded in death by his mother Rose, father Walter and sister Lillian (nee Bemis).
Ray was a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was a proud veteran. He had the privilege to participate in the Honor Flight West Central Florida Mission 35 in 2018.
His vocation was in sales up until his retirement. In 2002, Ray and Nancy sold their house in Minnesota, bought a motor home and traveled all over the US, Canada and Mexico for the next 15 years where they made many memories together. They settled in Largo, FL but still traveled, going on many cruises including the Panama Canal.
Military service at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, Florida 33774 , on Friday, January 15th, 2021 at 10:00am. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 273 and the United States Air Force Honor Guard from Mac Dill AFB, Florida.
