Steven J. Bradley


Steven James Bradley was born on April 10, 1988 in Bethesda, Maryland to Jack and Sherry (Tilley) Bradley. He passed away on December 22, 2020 at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Marine Corps

Steven joined the United States Marine Corps in 2007  at the age of 19 and went through recruit training at Marine Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Steven was honorable discharged as a Corporal in 2013 after serving as a Marine Corps sniper during the war in Afghanistan and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Medals and Decorations

At the time of his honorable discharge Steven was eligible to wear the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Ribbon with a “V” device for valor, the Combat Action Ribbon, two Navy Unit Commendation Medals, two Marine Corps Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, two Afghanistan Campaign Medals, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, two Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, the NATO ISAF Afghanistan Medal, as well as his designation as a rifle expert on his uniform.

Services

A graveside service at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps is still in the process of scheduling. Please call Veterans Funeral Care with any service questions. All guests planning on attending should plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to service. Steven will be laid to rest next to his older brother Mark Bradley, also a Marine.

Special Considerations

In lieu of flowers the Bradley family has asked that any memorial contributions be made to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation.
