Daniel Meehan was born on May 28, 1956 to Walter and Beverly Ann Meehan (Testa) in Staten Island, New York. He passed away on March 18, 2021 at Bay Pines VA Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of 64.
Family
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Beverly as well as his brothers Curtis and Timothy. Additionally he is survived by his brothers Terence Meehan, Brian Meehan, Dennis Meehan; nephews Justin Meehan, Sean Meehan, Kyle Meehan, Connor Meehan; and nieces Jessica Burbank, Sara Meehan, and Anna Meehan.
Military
Daniel joined the Marines and completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina in 1974 and served until 1977 when he was honorably discharged.
Services
A graveside service at Bay Pines National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps is scheduled for Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10:30 am. All guests planning on attending should plan on arriving at 10:00 am.
Special Considerations
In lieu of flowers the Meehan family has asked that any memorial contributions be made to the Marine Corps Association.

I just found out about Danny’s passing. My heart goes out to his family. I have beautiful memories of Danny from HIgh School and during his time in the Marines. My heart goes out to all the souls he touched. May he reset in eternal peace.
