Leo Andrew Dresselaers was born on December 29, 1938 to Leonard and Lillian (Bulens) Dresselaers in Boston, Massachusetts. He passed away on July 7, 2021 in Largo, Florida.
Family
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Delores Vernon; son Leo A. Dresselaers, Jr. (Penny); daughter Rhonda (Dutch) VanHorn, Shelley (Todd) Mitton; grandchildren Jason (Lynn) Sobrack, Emily (Matthew) Weidner, Neil Mitton, Elizabeth Ann Dresselaers; great-granddaughter Charlotte Weidner, and many loving brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Military
Leo served for twenty years in the United States Air Force finally retiring in 1978 at the rank of Tech Sergeant (TSgt) or E-6. Among other awards he received six Good Conduct Awards and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal.
Service
A memorial service with military honors provided by the United States Air Force is scheduled for Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 am at Abundant Life Ministries in Largo. The public is welcome to visit with family at 10:00 am. Pastor Anthony McDaniel will be conducting the memorial service. After the ceremony Leo will be placed at Bay Pines National Cemetery privately by the family.

What a sad day to think that we won’t get to hug Mr. Leo again or see his infectious smile! Hearing His stories each Monday night was one of my favorite things!! What an example it has been to all who have known y’all to watch you live your lives together! Such a great godly man! He will forever be remembered and surely be missed!
