Stephen Lawrence “Larry” DePaulo was born on October 6, 1948 to Joseph and Evelyn (Larrivee) DePaulo in Southington, Connecticut. He passed away on August 22, 2021 in Dunedin, Florida at the age of 72.
Family
Larry is preceded in death by his parents as well as son Stephen and one sister. Additionally he is survived by his wife Valerie (Mahon) DePaulo; daughters Gina Depaulo, Betty Jo Mahon; three brothers; 1 sister; grandchildren Nicholas and Sydney and great-grandchild Rocco.
Military
He served in the U.S. Army from March 11, 1966 to March 13, 1969 and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. At the time of his honorable discharge Larry was eligible to wear the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal as well as his designation as a sharpshooter. Larry enjoyed fishing and riding the motorcycles with Valerie. He was a service connected veteran and was past Commander of American Legion Post 104 and the AMVETs 7467.
Services
A graveside service with military honors provided by the United States Army and American Legion Post 104 is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 10:00 am at Bay Pines National Cemetery. All guests planning on attending should plan to arrive by 9:30 pm.
Special Considerations
The DePaulo family has asked that any memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation in memory of Stephen DePaulo.
