Leslie F. Perry-RM2C, USCG-World War II Veteran


Leslie F. Perry, RM2C-United States Coast Guard, World War II Veteran,  98, of St Petersburg, Florida passed away at his residence on October 16, 2021. He was born on July 25, 1923 in New York, New York to Fredrick and Frieda Perry. Leslie was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge. He joined the USCG and became a Radioman 2 Class  serving on the USS INGHAM, which was the Flag Ship for General Douglas McArthur. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and was a scratch golfer and having 2 Holes in One.  A avid bowler with a high series of 760, Leslie had a kind heart, loved to tap dance and entertained many people with his mother at state fairs.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Perry of St Petersburg, Florida; two sons; Timothy Perry of St Petersburg, Florida and John Perry and his wife, Debbie of Tarpon Springs; two daughters, Patricia Lee of St Petersburg, Florida and Linda Wrenn of St Petersburg, Florida; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service and full military  honors will be conducted at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, Florida on Friday, November 26, 2021 beginning at 12:30 PM with American Legion Post 273, officiating.
