Teresa M. Gianni, 72, of Tarpon Springs, Florida passed away at the Tarpon Bayou Nursing Home in Tarpon Springs, Florida on April 2, 2022 from natural causes. She was born on September 23, 1949 in Fitchburg, MA to Roland and Mary (Pancare) Deroy. She was a special education teacher, a Catholic, a avid reader and oil painter, loved to garden and take care of flowers. Teresa had a Special Love for cats and all animals and her friends, family, nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved doing anything with family and friends.
Preceded in death by her mother Mary and her husband, Joseph in 2019, she is survived by her loving and caring family: her father, Roland Deroy of Palm Harbor, Florida; sisters; Yvonne Duncan of St Petersburg, Florida; Jeannie Deroy of New Port Richey, Florida and Bea Murphy and her husband, Jim of New York, New York.
Burial will be private.

I’m heartbroken! I knew Teresa in 1974-5 in Miami & was just thinking of her today. Googling her, I see this very sad news. She was Teri back then, a fellow beach & literature lover, so smart & funny. I’ve tried for years to find her, and here is her photo looking just as I remember her. RIP old friend
