Nancy Ann Hewel of Clearwater passed away April 7th 2022. Nancy met the love of her life, Jerry Hewel, in July of 1983 and they were married on September 30th, 1989. Mrs. Hewel is survived by her loving husband of thirty-three years, Jerry A Hewel, her four daughters: Janelle Weller, Kayla Hewel, Hannah McMahan, and Lauren Hewel, son Noah Hewel, sister Kathleen Kitchner, brother Kenneth Meyers, and two grandsons: Joseph McMahan and Hayden McMahan.
She graduated from Marion Steele High School in Ohio, class of 1982. She went on to study nursing at Hillsborough Community College and graduated in 1985. She served her community for 38 years as an Emergency Department nurse at Morton Plant Hospital, Bardmoor Emergency Center, and Tampa General Hospital.
Nancy enjoyed the beach, the Smoky Mountains, taking long trips with her children even as adults, long nights of sharing time and laughter, playing games around the kitchen table, and enjoying family time. She had a smile that could light up a room, and she would set you at ease with her kindness and compassion. Utmost was her strength in her faith. She was a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and she raised her children to follow him and be guided by him all of their lives.
A memorial service will be held at Indian Rocks Baptist Church on April 15th, at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Nancy was one of the best closest friends I’ve ever had. I loved her & her family very much! Jerry & Nancy gave me some of my most precious & priceless memories. Living next door to them for years were some of the most fun times I’ve had in my life. Words cannot describe what an influence Nancy’s life has been on so many people. The wonderful wife& Mother. The many lives she saved as a nurse & the countless lives she saved by being a Christian example to everyone she met. I’m sure the Lord said Welcome my good & faithful servant because she was. Until we meet again Nancy & it won’t be long. Love you always❤️
