Born October 10, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Jane Peters was the eldest daughter to Finley Holden Campbell and Ruth Marie Gee. In 1969 she moved to Florida with her husband and two children, where she found her passion for helping others in the nursing field. She was a member of Charles Rutenberg Realty, Palm Harbor United Methodist Church, The Red Hats, and very involved with other organizations in her community. Mary Jane loved to bake, shop, travel, and spend time with her many family members and friends. To some she was a mom, to others a yiayia, but to everyone, she was a friend.
In 2017 Mary Jane was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and after a five-year battle, passed peacefully at home on August 20, 2022. She is survived by her son Jeff, her daughter Kim, her four grandchildren, Hali, Demetra, Lirina and Max, as well as her two brothers and seven sisters. She is loved and missed greatly and will always be in our hearts.

Kimmy my heartfelt condolences to you in the loss of your Mother. She was such a beautiful person and I know how much she meant to you and your girls.
Maryjane was one of a kind. I met her over 25 years ago thru my friend Margaret Cope, a nurse colleague. We were in Red Hats for over 10 years. I taught her Palm Harbor friends Bunco. We traveled together with Her husband Tony, and also many girlfriends. We loved to meet up to have lunch. We also played cards together and attended a Bible study led by our friends Linda and Jim Plunkett. I will miss her dearly. Her sweet spirit will remain in my heart forever. Many blessings to Kim, Jeff and Family as well as to her sisters snd brothers. Love, Kathleen Linden
Your mom is at peace now and can once again watch over her family. I enjoyed the many desserts she made and enjoyed talking with her at Kimmy D’s.
