Danny F. Cason, 68, of Tampa FL, passed away Saturday, August 27th, 2022 at Moffitt Cancer Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 19th, 1953 in Leesburg, FL, the son of Walter and Bertha Cason.
Danny worked in the commercial construction industry in the Tampa Bay area for over 40 years. He also was a beloved coach in the youth baseball community, helping young people find and cultivate their love of the game. In addition to baseball, Danny had a passion for beach volleyball and played competitively for many years. He loved being on the water or in the woods, enjoying fishing, hunting, or sharing a story by the campfire. Danny’s greatest pleasure came from the simple times in life, shared with family and friends.
Danny carried himself with a gentle ease and an open heart, making friends wherever he went. He will be remembered for his ability to connect with everyone, doing whatever he could to lend a helping hand or provide thoughtful guidance. Danny is loved and greatly missed by his wife- Cathy Cason, and children- Devon Cason (Jennifer) of Tampa, FL, Kylie Cason of Asheville, NC, Dillon Cason of Tampa, FL, his adored grandson- Kade Cason; 8 sisters and brothers; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
