Santee, Karen Elaine 68, of Seminole, Florida, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Karen was born in Washington, Pennsylvania to Clifford Santee Sr. and the late Roberta Gray Santee. Karen is survived by her father, Clifford Santee Sr., brother Cliff Santee Jr brother Tom Santee (Scott Askins), and Marianne Gray (Mitch), nieces Amy Santee and Colette Gray, nephews Jeff Santee and Austin Gray; and family friend Pete Harris.
So sorry to hear of Karen’s passing.
She had challenging health issues over the past several years.
She really gave it her all – and did it in her own way!
Every once in a while Al Waters and I would buy Karen a supply of the Big Hershey Dark Chocolate bars, and I would drop them over to her at The Point, and stay to chit chat. She would stash the chocolate in her refrigerator to snack on at a later time … probably when no one was looking!! Somewhere in the bag of chocolate occasionally was a bottle or 2 of Vodka for her evening enjoyment.
Karen and I go way back – when she was a champion golfer at Seminole Lake Country Club.
I remember when Karen stopped by the house one afternoon to show me her Associate of Arts Degree.
She was so proud of that accomplishment.
She was a Friend, always interested in what I was doing in local government, my travels, and my participation in activities thoughout the community, and expressed sincere condolences when my beloved Al Waters passed away in 2021.
Now it is time for Karen to fly with the eagles, the eagles she loved so much.
When she was still living at The Links on Park Blvd, she gave me a framed print of “Save the Eagle, Proud & Free.” by Ted Blaylock. It is placed on my living room wall for all to see.
May Karen rest-in-peace, she gave her all.
We got it from here.
