On October 12, 2022, Rosita (Rose) Casuga Vidmar of Tampa, Florida passed away surrounded her daughters and grandchildren. She was 82 years old. Rose was born and raised in Kahuku, Hawaii, and after high school, went on to attend Honolulu Technical School. As a military wife, Rose travelled throughout the United States and Europe. She created a loving home for her husband and daughters wherever they were stationed. Rose was a firm believer in the importance of education and hard work, and instilled those beliefs in her children. Her greatest love was family, both immediate and extended, and for them she made countless gestures of generosity, particularly in the kitchen where she excelled. She cared deeply for her friends, especially ones from her native Hawaii, and loved to trade stories and memories with them for hours on the phone. Rose will be remembered most for her inner strength and infectious laugh.
Rose was predeceased by her husband James, and her daughter Sherlyn. She is survived by her two daughters Jacqueline Vidmar and Karin Mazzarini, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and Ohana in Washington State and Hawaii.
