James Rogers Knapp, formerly of Eureka, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31st 2022 in Clearwater, Florida.
James was preceded in death by his wife Judith Knapp and parents Ralph Knapp and Mildred (Rogers). James leaves behind his granddaughter Stephanie, two great granddaughters, Luciana and Gabriana, a brother in law, Michael Burbridge, and many other family members and friends.
James was 79, born March 28, 1943, in Broken Bow, NE. He was drafted into the Army and was stationed in St. Louis where he met Judy. They were married for more than 4 decades.
Aside from his work as a diesel mechanic, James enjoyed doing many things. He was an avid fisherman, loved going to the shooting range, working in his Pawnshops, and encouraging his granddaughter Stephanie, who he often referred to as “The Dude”, to pursue every dream possible.
Services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in February 2023.
