Judge Howard Hardee Whittington, 80, of St Petersburg, Florida passed away at his residence in Seminole, Florida on August 13, 2023, from natural causes.
He was born August 26, 1942, to Harry and Kathryn (Odom) Whittington in St Petersburg, FL and was the grandson of Pioneer Park member, Charles C. Odom.
Howard is survived by his wife, Lutania Whittington; son, Douglas (Stacey) Whittington; granddaughters, Elle, and Liv; and faithful poodle, Honey Bear. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Tan Howard Whittington, who passed away in 2005.
A lifelong resident of Pinellas County, Howard graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1960 and Florida State University in 1964. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1968 after graduating from The Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, AL. He was a member of the Florida Bar for 50 years as an Attorney and elected Judge for Pinellas County.
Howard was an avid tennis player and locally raced “Hobie 16’s” to many victories as a younger man.
Judge Howard Hardee Whittington’s family will receive friends on Saturday, September 16, 2023, 10:00 AM at Veterans Funeral Care, Clearwater. A memorial service officiated by Mr. Patrick Blyeth and will begin at 11:00 AM. A Reception will be held at the end in the Officers Club at Veterans Funeral Care.

Thank you for Good Memories, Howie. Thank you so much for everything you did especially for Rohan . You are her great influencer of her growing up. You involved her on your tennis world and become amazing tennis player. You are always present and cheering her in every school events. You and Lot are part of her huge accomplishments and success. We are all heartbroken of your passing and we will missed in every Christmas, Birthdays, Thanksgiving and all other holidays.
