Major Donald Allen Disler, age 89, of Tampa Florida died on November 11th, 2023 at Tampa General Hospital. On February 9th,1934 he was born in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, the son of Carl Disler and Esther Tara. On April 30th, 2016 he married Linda Varga-Wallace in Tampa, Florida and they shared 7 years of marriage. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Disler, and his daughter-in-law, Corrine Disler. He is survived by his current wife, Linda Disler, his children, Donald A. Disler Jr., Timothy Disler (Jackie), grandchildren, Kori Merriman (Sam), Kristen Burnside (Nick), Kyree Spencer, Mia Brandon, Giovanni Brandon, Jennifer Swanson (Matt), Christopher Wallace Jr., Kianna Wallace, Kimora Wallace, Koneko Wallace, Kiyumi Wallace, stepsons, Seth N. Wallace and Christopher J. Wallace(Kiara), and great-grandchildren, Sam Swanson and Tatum Merriman. He retired from the US Air Force as an electronic warfare officer. He then worked for the veterans administration until he retired as a fiduciary director. He was a member of the moose Lodge 912, a lifetime member of the VFW, and also a member of the American legion both of Tampa and attended radiant Church with his wife Linda. A celebration of Life will be held at moose Lodge 912 at 3008 Gandy Boulevard Tampa at 1:00 p.m. on December 3rd and a committal service will be held January 16th at 1:00 p.m. at Bay Pines National cemetery.

My sincere condolences to you all. I had the pleasure of meeting Don at the Interbay Moose Lodge and enjoyed his company when we visited.
What a nice, great man. RIP Don

Donnie and Tim: You may not remember me. I was the oldest daughter of Jim and Lillie Painter. We lived across the street from you in Perrine in the 70s. I’m so sorry for your losing of your dad. Mom passed in Jan 2023 and Dad in Feb 2024. They thought a lot of your parents and spoke of them through the years. You all crossed my mind this morning and I noted Don’s passing. Take Care.
