Agnes “Faye” Mauldin, 82, Faye as her friends called her, passed to her reward on December 23, 2023. She was the embodiment of Southern Charm and Grace. The only child of Ira & Mary Agnes Bankston she was born & raised in Griffin, Ga, where she graduated Griffin High.
It is here she met a dapper young soldier from Sycamore Ga, and the love of her life – husband of 64 years, Gordon Mauldin. She spent the next 22 years as an Army wife, traveling from place to place in support of his career.
After his retirement from the military and entry into the ministry she continued to be as busy as ever balancing being a Pastors Wife as well as having her own careers at K-mart and Nielsen Media Research.
Faye was much beloved for her kindness and her accidental humor. A woman of deep faith she was a source of wisdom and advice to family and friends.
She is survived by her Husband Gordon, Son – Scott and 3 grandchildren – Matthew, Amelia and Joshua.
Memorial services this Wednesday, 2:30pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery.

Rest in peace my precious, beautiful friend! Thanks for filling my life with more…. more laughter, more love and lots more sparkle! You were a true Southern Lady, full of charm, grace and wisdom. I thank God for blessings me with such a wonderful mentor and friend. You will be deeply missed.
Love and prayers to Gordon, Scott and family. Thanks for sharing this beautiful lady with me for these past 23 years! If our marathon phone conversations could be summed up to a few topics, one of them would definitely be her deep love for you all. My deepest sympathies.
Love to you all.
