Bonnie Irene Schaffer, age 82, of Largo, FL passed away on June 1st, 2024 at East Bay rehab in Clearwater, FL following an extended illness. She was born on March 4th, 1942 in Sellersville, PA to her loving parents, Grant and Ellen VanFossen. Bonnie worked as a surgical aid at a hospital and was married on March 28th, 1959 to Thomas S. Schaffer Jr. in Souderton, PA. They shared 22 years of marriage together. She was an avid reader, enjoyed horseback riding, and loved rescuing cats and dogs. Bonnie was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Ellen VanFossen, her husband, Thomas S. Schaffer Jr., her granddaughter, Danielle Marie Landis, her grandson, Bradley Joseph Henry, and her sister, Connie L. Clemmer. Survivors include Kathy Miller (Dave), Robin Hackman, Sherri Rhyder, Wendy Fiore (Joe), Timothy Schaffer (Paige), 18 grandchildren, and 22 Greatgrandchildren. Bonnie will be dearly missed.
