Mr. Monte Thomas Martin, 73, of Dunedin, FL, passed away on June 10, 2024. He was born on July 17, 1950, in East Meadow, NY, to Edgar H. Martin and Lynn Snyder. Mr. Martin served in the US Air Force, with duty stations in Michigan, Texas, and Massachusetts, and overseas tours in Vietnam and Thailand.
Throughout his life, Mr. Martin had a successful career spanning from Long Island, NY (1950-1986) to Clearwater/Dunedin, FL (1986-2024). He was known for his expertise in woodworking and photography, his two beloved hobbies.
Mr. Martin was a devoted husband to Joan Walguarnery, and together they shared 49 years of marriage. He leaves behind his children and their spouses Shawn & Sarah Martin, Michele Martin, Julie & Rich Thomas, Daniel & Jennifer Martin, as well as numerous grandchildren and siblings.
Grandchildren: Bradley Ferlaine, Laura Thomas, Luke Marlin, Ryan Thomas, Jesse Sawyer, Olivia Martin, Zoe Martin, Shiloh Martin, Hayley Sawyer, Nathaniel Martin, Jonathan Martin; Brothers/Sisters: Marilyn VonOphuijsen, Alan Martin & Michele Degroat.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. at Dunedin Assembly of God (885 Lake Haven Rd, Dunedin, FL 34698).
Veterans Funeral Care (830 North Belcher Rd, Clearwater FL 33765) is assisting with the arrangements.
Mr. Monte Thomas Martin will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
