David Jordan, a proud veteran of the army, passed away on July 2nd, 2024, surrounded by family. David, the son of Robert and Rosella Jordan was born in Wurzburg, Germany on January 23rd, 1973. He graduated from Stuttgart American High School and immediately joined the US Army where he underwent basic and Airborne training in Ft. Benning, Georgia. He went on to serve 30 years in the army, retiring as a command sergeant major.
CSM David Jordan received numerous awards during his thirty years of serving. The most outstanding being: Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (4), Meritorious Service Medal (5), Army Commendation Medal (6), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (8), and Joint Meritorious (2). He also had the honor of completing master jumpmaster course, air assault school, United States Sergeant Major Academy (class of 64). As a respected member of the 82nd Airborne Division, he served in six deployments to Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Outside of his military career, CSM David Jordan was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan, amusement park attendee, and constantly surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly. David was always appreciated for his endless jokes as he could make anyone smile. He will be remembered most for his mentorship, leadership, as well as the way he treated everyone with the utmost care and respect.
David is survived by his lovely wife, Cristina, who loved him unconditionally. His daughters – Aliyah, Leannette, Ghaniyah, Davina. His sons – Jonathon, Robert, Tyrique. He loved his family and was immensely proud of his children. Survived by his parents, Robert and Rosella Jordan who raised him with love and support. Older sisters; Tina, Shelia, Annjanetta. Brothers; Vincent and Jonathon.
David was welcomed, parachuting, into the gates of heaven by his battle buddies. Airborne all the way!
