Ronald G. Palmer Born: September 9, 1938 Died: October 5, 2024

Ronald G. Palmer , 86, of Largo, Florida died at Suncoast Mid-Pinellas Hospice on October 5, 2024. He was born in Manchester, Georgia in 1938 to George W. Palmer and Ollie B. Awtrey.

Ronald was a self-taught pianist starting at the age of 12. On February 9, 1957, he married Maxine J. Palmer in Ferry Pass, Florida. Together they shared 65 years of marriage and had 3 children.
He joined the Air Force, received technical training and went on to be a licensed Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical Contractor owning several successful businesses. He became an instrument rated pilot and helped fly supplies to help people after the Hurricane Andrew disaster. He joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1970. He baptized 13 people in his family. He was a very talented organist for the LDS Church for 54 years.

Ronald was predeceased by Maxine J. Palmer, Joyce Shelkofsky, Jimmy Palmer, George W. Palmer and Ollie B. Awtrey.

He is survived by Keith Palmer, Michael Palmer, Diane Palmer-Makin, Teresa Gallandre-Lebhar, Amy Palmer-Duchesne, Stephanie Johnson, Michael Palmer, Jr., Danielle Palmer, Keely Palmer, Ronnie Palmer, Sera Makin, Daniel Palmer, Joshua Palmer, Meghan Lucia, Lana Duchesne, Vanessa Duchesne, Matthew Duchesne, Egon Palmer, Hailey Johnson, Kinley Gallagher, Logan Gallagher, Taylor Johnson, Kennedy Bartlett.

Ronald G. Palmer’s Memorial will be held on November 2nd,2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 570 – 62nd Ave N St. Petersburg, Fl. 33702
