Cathryn M. Marceau, age 72, of Auburndale, Florida, passed away on January 5th, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Hospital following a prolonged battle with health challenges. Born in New Castle, Indiana, on October 6th, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Murray and Marion Russell.
On September 10, 1988, Cathryn married the love of her life, Richard Marceau, at the Bliss Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they shared 36 years of love, devotion, and companionship.
Cathryn was a dedicated mother to her five daughters: Carina Grossman, Cherish Marceau, Wendy Ladd, Kristy Olinske, and Rebecca Marceau-Hughes. She was also a beloved grandmother to Kayla Marceau and Ross Marceau. She is survived by her brother, Lloyd Murray II, who cherished his sister dearly.
Cathryn was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Murray, her mother Marion Perish, her brother Kennith Murray, and her sister Virginia Gains.
Throughout her life, Cathryn worked as an elementary school teacher, dedicating herself to shaping young minds with care and patience. Her nurturing spirit, sense of humor, and commitment to education touched the lives of many students and colleagues.
Cathryn’s family, who will forever miss her warmth, wisdom, and love, takes comfort in knowing that her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched.
A private family service will take place alongside the waterfalls of her favorite destination in Oregon to honor her memory.
