I was discharged from the US Navy on 10/14/1967. My first day at General Telephone was 10/23/1967. I reported to 607 Jeffords Street and met Bill Dufoe for the first time. He introduced me to my first line supervisor, Bob. He was by far the best mentor a new employee could have asked for. I could not have asked for a better experience. We were able to reconnect several times throughout our careers. I will always remember him as a good guy and friend. I know his family will miss him.
