Andrew S. Vitek, 89, of Largo, Florida, passed away on January 31, 2026, at HCA Largo Hospital.
He was born on January 4, 1937, in Port Griffith, Pennsylvania. Mr. Vitek proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he dedicated part of his career to public service as a Detention Deputy with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department.
Andrew will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his service to the community, and his commitment to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice, and a loving and supportive family.
A Celebration of Andrew’s Life will be held at Veterans Funeral Care, 830 N. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, FL 33765, on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather from 3:00 PM until the service begins at 4:00 PM.
A Military Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Bay Pines National Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
