Beverly Kay (Redmon) Mixson, a devoted woman of faith, loving mother, and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at Morton Plant Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on May 11, 1940, in Prospect, Ohio, Beverly was the daughter of Ira Francis Redmon and Opal Pearl (Briggs) Redmon. She carried with her a deep-rooted faith and strong family values that guided her throughout her life.

Beverly was a lifelong and faithful member of Pinellas Park United Methodist Church, where she dedicated many years as a Sunday School teacher, sharing her love of God and helping shape the lives of generations of children. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she lived each day with grace, kindness, and quiet strength.

She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Charles Mixson, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. Together, they enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors with their family. Beverly found great joy in cooking, and her home was always a place where family gathered, meals were shared, and memories were made.

An entrepreneur at heart, Beverly successfully operated her own businesses selling Avon and Tupperware, building lasting friendships within her community. She also enjoyed traveling and fondly spoke of her trips to Hawaii, Ireland and Israel, where she was baptized in the Jordan River.

Beverly’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who placed her faith and family above all.

She is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Charles Mixson; her sister, Joyce Lee (Redmon) Heffernan and her daughter, Denise Carol (Loubet) LaSala

She is lovingly remembered by her sister Patricia Ann (Redmon) Andrews; her sons Bruce John Loubet, Dave Randall Schott, David Charles Mixson, and Steven Christopher Mixson; her daughters-in-law Laura Ellen (Guswiler) Loubet, Edith Renee (Jordan) Schott, Heather Lea (Ledet) Mixson, and Sandra Lee (Rawls) Mixson; her grandchildren Christopher Todd Loubet, Daniel Scott Loubet, Aaron Clayton Estep, Heather Pearline Olmstead, Hannah Leigh Mixson, Sarah Elizabeth Mixson, Micah David Mixson, Alexandria Virginia (Rawls) Freitas, Zachary Steven Mixson, and Leah Kay Mixson; along with her great-grandchildren and many dear friends.

A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held at Veterans Funeral Care, 830 N Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL 33765, on Friday, April 24, 2026. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Lone Pilgrim Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Seminole, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Morton Plant Mease Healthcare Foundation in Beverly’s memory.

“In my Father’s house are many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you.”
