Anthony Kirk Lewis

Anthony Kirk Lewis, 59, of St. Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on April 6, 2026, in St. Petersburg following an extended illness.

Anthony was born on October 17, 1966, at Duval Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida, to Walter Lewis, Jr. and Geneva (Harris) Lewis. A native of Jacksonville, he carried his roots with him throughout his life, even as he made homes in Rochester, New York; Clearwater, Florida; and St. Petersburg, Florida—a place he returned to and deeply loved.

Anthony built a diverse and dedicated career, holding a range of roles over the years. Notably, he spent more than a decade in a managerial position with Bose Corporation, where he demonstrated leadership, commitment, and professionalism.

In the 1990s, while living in Rochester, New York, Anthony was actively involved in his community, serving as Treasurer of the 19th Ward Community Association. His service reflected his sense of responsibility and care for the communities he was part of.

He was a proud graduate of Jones College in Jacksonville, Florida, an accomplishment he considered among his greatest achievements.

Anthony found joy in life’s quieter moments. He was an avid reader, with a deep and enduring devotion to the study and research of the Bible. He also had a strong appreciation for film and enjoyed spending time at the movie theater.

He will be remembered for his independent spirit and his determination to live life on his own terms. Anthony valued his autonomy and pursued happiness in his own unique way, a quality that defined his character and left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Anthony is survived by his brothers: Delano Lewis and his wife, Yvonne; Reginald Harris; and Ivory Swain and his wife, Kimberly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lewis, Jr. and Geneva (Harris) Lewis.

A private repast will be held on May 2, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Cisco Garden Community Center, 4238 Jones Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32219. The family kindly requests that attendees notify them in advance, including the number of guests who will be present.

Anthony’s life was marked by resilience, independence, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
