Gail Rose Haley


Gail Rose Haley, 76, of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, at St. Petersburg General Hospital.

Born on May 22, 1949, in Holyoke, Gail was the beloved daughter of the late Aime Blanchette and Rose Blanchette (Grahek). In 1958, her family relocated to Florida, where she spent most of her life in St. Petersburg.

On November 15, 1988, Gail married Eric S. Haley, and together they shared 23 wonderful years of marriage.

Gail is survived by her loving daughter, Samantha Sharp; her son-in-law, Robbie Sharp; and her cherished grandchildren, Tabitha Robb, Thomas Sharp, and Allison Sharp. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Thomas Sharp Jr., Aaron Sharp, Adelin Sharp, and Arabella Robb. Additional survivors include her brothers, Joseph Blanchette and James Blanchette of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric S. Haley, and her parents.

Throughout her life, Gail worked in several professions, including with the Pinellas County Tag Office, as a waitress, at Kapok Tree Inc., and as a bartender at various establishments over the years.

Gail was a devoted lifetime member of AMVETS Post 8, where she and Eric were deeply involved for many years. During her time there, she faithfully served as Auxiliary President, Treasurer, and Chaplain.

Gail will be remembered for her dedication to family and friends, her warm spirit, and her love of puzzle books. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
