Charles “Charly” Kelley Robinson Sr, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 74. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend whose kindness, strength, and love touched all who knew him.
Charly graduated from Chamberlain High School and began building the life he cherished most when he started his family in 1972. Dedicated to both his country and his community, he served in the United States Navy Reserve Seabees from 1978 to 1980. A man of faith, he found great joy singing in the church choir and living out his beliefs through service, hard work, and love for others. Through determination, integrity and a strong commitment to providing for his loved ones, he founded and operated a successful plaster and stucco company. His work ethic, honesty and devotion to his family were evident in everything he did and remain an enduring part of his legacy. Charly enjoyed family vacations to the Great Smoky Mountains, supporting his grandchildren in all their extra-curricular activities, along with Motocross, NHRA drag racing and cheering for the hometown NFL and MLB teams.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Charles Robinson Jr. (and his wife, Tara); Cindy Marsh (and her husband, Andy); and Christie Self (and her husband, Scott). He was a proud grandfather to Zachary Robinson, Brice Robinson, Tyler Self, Nathan Marsh, and Blake Marsh, one great-grandchild Rhett Robinson, his siblings Delores Bedley and James Robinson (and his wife Alice); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Charly was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Robinson and Minnie Bedley and by his beloved wife, Jan. Together, they shared a love that was steadfast and enduring. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to faith, partnership, and devotion, and the family they built together will continue to carry their legacy forward for generations to come.
Colossians 3:23 “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,”
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are grateful for the years, memories, and love we shared. Charly’s presence, wisdom, and gentle spirit will forever remain in our hearts and the lives of those he touched. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed until the day we meet again.
A memorial service to honor Charly’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, with visitation at 5:30 PM and service time of 6pm at Grace Family Church – Land O Lakes Campus, 22920 SR 54, Lutz, FL 33549.
A reception will immediately follow, and all who knew and loved Charly are welcome to attend.
