Paul Gordon Palm

Paul Gordon Palm, 92, of Seminole, Florida, passed away on June 13, 2026. Born on August 9, 1933, in Marshall, Minnesota to Wallace “Wally” and Evelyn (Olsen) Palm, Paul was a small-town boy at heart who always retained his deep love for small towns. A definitive habit of his small-town upbringing was the standard he set for life: he firmly believed in and taught his children to always “mark your work with excellence.”

In his early years, Paul honorably served his country on active duty in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era from 1953 to 1955. Following his military service, he married the love of his life, Myrna, on July 22, 1956. Together, they worked as professional dancers and instructors, owning and operating an Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Sioux Falls. Paul then transitioned into his lifelong career in investments by moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota to work with a prominent commodity trading firm—a booming industry in that agricultural part of the country. This experience launched his path as a professional stockbroker, leading him to ultimately move his family to Seminole, Florida in 1969.

In Florida, Paul grew his practice as a dedicated investment advisor, serving clients with A.G. Edwards and Raymond James before operating as an independent advisor with his own firm, Palm Investment, which later became CrossPlan Money Management. Guided by a true giving heart, his professional competence was rooted in philosophy, quiet wisdom, and steady kindness. He was a long-time member of the Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) throughout the 1980s, 90s, and 2000s, and actively attended Indian Rocks Church for many years.

A central piece of Paul’s spiritual and professional legacy was his deep passion for teaching biblical financial principles. For years at Indian Rocks Church, he and Myrna led a highly attended, cyclical Sunday School class called “Managing God’s Money God’s Way.” The course focused strictly on scripture and the Proverbs to teach true financial stewardship, rooted in one of his absolute favorite sayings: “You can’t out-give God.” Myrna shared her vital personal testimony on credit cards and spending, and together they witnessed testimony after testimony of people clearing the wreckage of debt and finding peace of mind. Their impactful teaching eventually earned Paul the tongue-in-cheek nickname “the Apostle Paul of Finance”—a title he didn’t love but took in good humor. He later traveled to share this course with various churches across Montana and Pennsylvania.

For many years, Paul and Myrna were also active members of the Seminole Lake Country Club and Tennis Club. They deeply enjoyed playing tennis together in doubles leagues and spent countless hours at the club watching their children play. More than anything, Paul poured his life into his family. His absolute favorite hobby was his 13 grandchildren; he was a constant presence in their lives and rarely ever missed one of their sporting events or school programs.

Paul is survived by his children, John and Mary; his 13 grandchildren; and his 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years (just one month shy of 64), Myrna, who passed away in June 2020; his parents, Wallace “Wally” and Evelyn; and his son, David.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Roskamp Auditorium at Freedom Square, located at 7800 Liberty Lane, Seminole, FL 33772. Arrangements are being handled by Veterans Funeral Care, Clearwater, FL.
